Waterford Clubhouse Pool

The 2021 Pool Season OPENS MAY 29th!

Please read the following rules in their entirety.

In anticipation of Illinois moving into Phase 5 in mid June, we have chosen NOT to require a reservation system at the pool – however, for these first few weeks, please be prepared that if the Phase 4 bridge limited capacity of the pool is reached at any time, the lifeguard/attendant has the right to turn away pool goers until there is available room.   We follow established guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health on public pools.  Currently, that guidance states that in Phase 4 Bridge, we are allowed a 60% capacity.  The regular pool capacity is 60 people (which we’ve never hit even in normal times)  – so until we move to Phase 5 and full capacity is authorized by IDPH, we will be limiting pool capacity to 36 people at a time.   If Illinois chooses to NOT move to phase 5 as anticipated on June 11th, we will at that point institute a reservation system if we are running into capacity issues.  Please respect the authority of the lifeguards; they are following these rules and are there for everyone’s safety and well being.

Please also be aware that while capacity limits are expected to return to normal in Phase 5, the IDPH will likely have new safety guidance and procedures that will be the new norm.

This year, there are no pool passes – you will be required to bring a driver’s license or ID that has your name and address on it and leave it with the attendant for the duration of your stay at the pool.  The address on your license must match your home address – attendants will be verifying you are a resident of Waterford using a current resident list.  You are allowed 8 people per household – this includes family members and guests.  If you are a new homeowner and have not yet changed your license, contact Candee at the management company and we will make note on your file .  The pool attendant will take note of the total in your party and everyone will be required to check in when arriving and check out when leaving.  Please remember that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please use the South entrance door (near the volley ball court) to enter the pool through the locker rooms.  The clubhouse great room area will continue to remain locked so that we do not have to incur additional cleaning expenses.

Masks will not be required outside at the pool, but we ask that you maintain social distance when possible.  Masks WILL be required for the locker rooms/restrooms, which all patrons will have to pass through to access the pool.  We expect all pool goers will use good judgement and excellent hygiene standards to keep all safe.  Bathrooms and showers will be cleaned frequently.

If you do not feel well please do NOT take the chance of getting anyone else sick and stay home – there will be plenty of pool time available this year.  During Phase 4, attendants will be checking temperatures as you arrive.

No food will be allowed in the pool area during Phase 4.

The CDC recommends everyone to get vaccinated, continue to social distance when possible and wash your hands regularly.

Please check the website at https://waterfordhoaelgin.com/pool-watch/ for more information and updates.  Note that the gym will continue to require reservations until we exit Phase 4.

We’re looking forward to a successful and fun filled summer pool season.
